NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that , pursuant to the provisions of the Real Property Law of the State of New York, and a resolution adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Lake Grove on the 4th day of February 2010, the undersigned, as Village Treasurer, will sell at public auction on the 19th day of March, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the morning of that day (prevailing time) at the Village Meeting Hall at 980 Hawkins Avenue in said Village, so much of each of the following parcels of real property upon which taxes are unpaid in order to discharge the taxes, interest and charges which may be due as to each at the time of the sale thereof, and said sale shall be continued from day to day, if necessary, until it shall be completed. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that each purchaser at such tax sale shall pay the amount of his bid to the undersigned as Village Treasurer, within ten days after the sale, and on such payment will be given a certificate in writing describing the real property purchased and the sum paid therefore. If any purchaser neglects or refuses to pay the amount of his bid within the prescribed time, the undersigned, as Village Treasurer, may at his option, bring action against the purchaser to recover the amount bid by him with costs. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Village Board of the Incorporated Village of Lake Grove, on the 7th day of January 2010 adopted a Resolution designating the date, place and hours for the preparation of the register of voters for the Annual Election: WHEREAS, the next general Village Election for officers will be held Tuesday March 16th, 2010, Noon until 9:00 P.M., and WHEREAS, no person shall be entitled to vote at any Village Election whose name does not appear on the register of the election district in which he claims to be entitled to vote, and WHEREAS, it is the duty of Inspectors of Election to prepare such register of qualified voters for the district for which they were appointed, Now, Therefore, be it RESOLVED, that First: The Inspectors of Election shall meet on March 10, 2010, at the Village Meeting Hall, beginning at 10:00 a.m. o’clock and ending at 4:00 p.m. o\'clock to commence the preparation of the register for the forthcoming Village Election. Second: Voting for the forthcoming Village Election shall be conducted at the Village Recreation Center. Third: A copy of such resolution shall be published in the official newspaper and a copy shall be posted in at least one conspicuous place in such election district. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Village Board of the Incorporated Village of Lake Grove, at a regular meeting held the 5th day of November 2009, adopted the following resolution:
WHEREAS, the next general Village election for officers is to be held Tuesday, March 16, 2010, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 15-104, Sub. 3 (a) of the Election Law, the Village Clerk shall, at least four months prior to the general Village election publish a notice designating the offices which are to be filled at such election and the terms thereof, Now, Therefore, be it RESOLVED: Section 1. That the Board of Trustees designates the following offices as vacant at the end of the current official year, to be filled at the Village election to be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, for the following terms: Trustee Two years Trustee Two years Village Justice Four years
Section 2. The Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this resolution in full in the Brookhaven Review.
